Enjoy qigong meditation in motion!
Qigong (chi kung) is an ancient healing art, originally developed by Chinese hermit monks. Unlike many native healing arts, qigong, or energy work, does not rely on a particular dogma or belief system. Qigong harmonizes body, mind, and spirit, allowing us to readily access our vital energy. Qigong can be practiced as an enjoyable exercise in coordinating body and breath, an exceptional healing modality, as well as a profound journey into the spirituality of our own body.
In Body of Prayer workshops, you’ll learn selected forms of the 18 Lohan Hands, the most efficient and effective qigong methods for spiritual, physical, mental and emotional health. You’ll also have the opportunity to visualize and express through your body your sense of the sacred.
Amy Shoko Brown has been studying meditation and qigong intensively for over twenty years. The more she delves into the Eastern traditions, the more she appreciates her Christian upbringing and the common ground of all religions. Her passion is in sharing healthy modalities to help people access their own spirituality.
